Well, we all flipped out. What we didn't realize was that the author of
the following reply was just 13 years old. We all got our panties in a bunch
over it. Check it out...

I think you are being to harsh on her but that is my opion of course i know
of people who are having children at the age of 12 but that gives no reason
to take it out on her and be calling anyone a bitch you should of know
better than to have sex when you are 16 and think you are so cool there is
something called marriage and save yourself for later instead you choose to
take a big chance and got yourself pregant and the only person i'm sorry
for right is your to know he has to grow up like this and i hope he does be
like his daddy knock a girl get her pregant and then leave,
I think you made a mistake by getting pregant and now you're trying to
blame it on someone else
That's my opinon

How ya doing. Pat Quinn here. Of course, Gale wrote that article, but
I have to say that I agree with her views.
First of all, I'd like to tell you that punctuation helps a great deal
when trying to convey a thought.
Now, it is very true that Gale made a mistake by getting pregnant at
such a young age, but it's the best mistake she has ever made. She
would never give him up in a million years, nor should she.
You seem to hold dear the common 'Republican' idea that sex should be
left to those who can afford a child. While those sexually active should
be 100% responcible for whatever the outcome may be, sex is part of human
nature. Kids fuck. They always have, and they always will. It's a fact
of life. Unfortunatly, responsibility for ones own actions, especially in
THIS country, comes with age (more often, not at all).
I am sure Gale considered her options, including abortion. She opted
to keep the baby. This is also human nature, and the choice she was
comfortable with. Then again, anti-abortion is also a very 'Republican'
idea. Basically, Republicans are telling kids *NOT* to fuck, but also
telling them to keep the kids if they *DO* get pregnant no matter what,
but no one will help you raise the child, no matter the situation.
Simply because I love Gale to pieces, I must say this... you're an
asshole. I think you have no idea at all what she was trying to say in
that article. It is obvious to me that you are a true mental midget,
and are way out of her league intellectually. And what was that you
said about marriage? What planet are you on, stupid? Life isn't a
story book. Seldom does marriage help in such a situation, and in
this case, it would have been disastrous!
Let's look at Christy Whitman for a second here, shall we? Now, I
don't know if you live in New Jersey, but I *do* know that you can't
spell, punctuate, or form a coherent sentence, so I am guessing that you
are a Republican, and like what Whitman has done. What has she done?
Christy Whitman has raised taxes up the ass. No? It's true. Her big
thing was cutting income taxes, which she did by 10%. What she *did* do
was raise property taxes nearly 300% throughout the state! How come no
one mentions this? Florio took NJ from near bankruptcy and left a
surplus of cash when he left office. Whitman spent that surplus in her
first year, and now NJ is once again bonded out the ass! Whitman has
helped create a lot of fucked up, Gestapo like laws in NJ, and no one
cares. She got the backing of the NRA by saying that she would repeal
the assault gun ban, but has done nothing. She has helped bust unions,
like laborers 172 an replaced them with laborers 1272. 1272 does a
worse job for half the pay. Unemployment in NJ is up... no one
notices.
Unfortunately, Whitman will probably win the fucking election. Why?
People are grossly misinformed. I am sorry to say that you are most
likely one of those people.

This is actually a reply to that last reply. I just have to put my two
cents in here. Let me tell you a little story all about me...When I was
15 years old *I* got pregnant. I also got kicked out of my mother's
house for doing so.
As soon as I turned 16 I did decide to marry the father of my child, and
let me tell you that only made things worse, not better. I was on
welfare at 15 to support my child because I had no other means of doing
so. Her father didn't leave me
but he might as well have for the amount of support I got out of him
both financially and emotionally. If these laws passed by Whitman had
been in effect back then, both me and my child would have been living on
the streets.
Why the hell shouldn't a woman be able to support her child with a
little help from the government. And yes I do mean a woman...Gale is no
longer a girl, just as at 15 I was no longer a little girl when I had my
child. But I don't regret
any of it. I wouldn't give her up for the world, and now I'm living on
my own, supporting my child and going to school ALL BY MYSELF. But you
know what, if I hadn't had that help when she was first born, if
I hadn't had
welfare money to feed and clothe that baby with, if I hadn't had
Medicaid to pay her medical bills, I wouldn't be where I am now. I am
the perfect example of how our welfare system SHOULD work. It should be
to help people get back
on their feet, it should be a means of helping America's children grow
up happy and healthy. Now I know Gale, and her son is one of the cutest
kids I've ever met, and I also know that she's not the type of person
who wants
to live on welfare for the rest of her life, but right now maybe she
needs that little extra help. Just like I did. And why the
HELL shouldn't she be allowed to get it right now instead of waiting until her child is 2 or 3 years old?
Our government right now is so f**ked up that it just makes me sick, and
people like "intoysinc" are the people who f**ked it up in the first
place. And by the way "intoysinc" are you a virgin? Are you saving
yourself for marriage?
Or are you just too damn lame to get any? Learn to speak and write the
English language and maybe someone will care what you have to say. But
you had no right to speak that way to my friend Gale, you don't know
her, you don't
know her situation, and you don't know jack shit. She is a beautiful
person raising a beautiful child, and she has every right to be pissed
as hell at the laws that prevent her from giving that baby everything he
needs.
Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

I don't know where you get these corny ideas from, if you knew Gale you
would realize that she's raising her child the best way she knows how,
and she's doing a damn good job at it too. My roommate has a four year
old, and I totally respect her for taking that huge responsibility.
Just because you're young doesn't mean you don't have a maternal nature.
People used to get married and have kids as young as 13, and it was what
was expected of them. It's natural...it's human instinct. It is only
our modern society that tries to suppress that instinct, by telling you
that you should go to college, and probably grad school, and after
you're finished that you are allowed to get married and only then are
you allowed to have sex. Well FUCK THAT!
Christine Whitman is a dried up old cunt who doesn't know any better and
probably hasn't gotten laid for the past two decades. You're just an
idiotic computer nerd who can't get any because you sit in front of a
computer all day, running your fingers through your greasy hair. Maybe
you should take a couple lessons from Gale and my roommate. At least
they know how to spell.
Thank you for your support.

Ok, dipshit. I am the one who wrote the piece of fine literature that
you saw fit to reply to. I had kind of hoped that a person with an IQ
above that of a cabbage could have replied, but I guess we can't get
everything we want.
First of all, let me say that you must be from an Oakland-area high
school because you obviously speak Ebonics or some other foreign tongue
that I can't understand. When you earn to write in the common language
of English, I will consider a reply from you, but until then, I will
just insult you because ignorance is the only language that you
understand. Please tell me where you went to high school. Oh, I'm
sorry, that would imply that you WENT to high school. Of this, I doubt
very much.
Now, I stand by my description of the Neo-Nazi fascist war cunt. She
stuck her huge Republican penis straight up my ass. I might have made a
mistake in having "premarital" sex, but the fact is, it's done and over
with, and I can not go back and change it, nor do I think I would. I am
17 years old. I still have to wait five months until I can receive any
kind of help from the government. I am not the kind of person who
thinks they "deserve" help, but I have to admit that it would make my
life, and in turn, my child's life, quite a bit easier. Unfortunately,
Bitchman fucked all that up. I am bitter, and yes, I have every right
to be.
Like I said, when you can form a coherent sentence and actually have
something to say, write me back and perhaps I'll respect your opinion.
But until then, fuck you and the Commi-Republican horse you rode in on.
Thank you.

Hello.
I would like to offer a little bit different point of view.
I must first state that I do know and love Gale. I also know her situation. I
know why she feels the way she does about our" less illustrious than a rock"
Governor. Now, if what the little 13 year old stated is to be taken with any
merit, then I would guess that she is saving herself for marriage. I applaud
the effort. I also appreciate that this young person has developed a moral
code so early in their growth and life. I say this with complete honesty, 8th
grade catholic school girl, that I hope you do not fail in your promise to
keep yourself for marriage. I say this because it is usually young and naive
people, very much like you, who make the welfare system what it is today. You
see, imagine when the parents of a very " innocent" young girl find out their
baby is going to have a baby. How will they react? I will tell you. They will
either: 1. Kick the girl out of the household 2. make the child have an
abortion 3. help the child get on welfare, to take responsibility for the
baby. Now, the implications of the first two are pretty clear. The last one,
though, will affect more than just the child and the child-parent. When the
child is put in the welfare system, which is designed to help less-than-rich
parents get on their feet again while providing medical and financial aid for
the baby, it is now part of a vast number of cases just like it. You see,
"innocent" little girls are getting pregnant every day, whether you think
it's right or not. Also, unlike my friend Gale, and her friend Dana, most of
these young people that become entrenched in the welfare system tend to
become dependant on the welfare system like a surrogant-parent type basis,
and tend to stay on welfare until the children are adults, instead of picking
up and doing something with their lives, and thus tapping dry a resource
originally intended to be necessary for maybe the first few years of a baby's
life. As Dana stated, her story is the perfect example of how the welfare
system should work. Alas, with the advent of new legislation brought about
with political backing from conservative Republicans, Christine Whitman
included, that perfect example will be harder to see, because it is now
harder for people that really need the help to get it. That is why Gale is
angry at Christine Whitman, because she now will get less help because people
are to busy saying" well, you shouldn't have done it in the first place."
Well, maybe she should have thought about what could've happened when she
decided to have sex, but the point is now moot. She has a child, and is as
entitled to help as the daughters of the "good" and "moral" parents out there
who are having kids and getting help. By the way, 8th grader, do you believe
what you do because you actually care about what you are saying, or do you
just believe that it is the right thing to say, no matter what the
circumstances are? Don't bother answering unless you really want to discuss
your narrow views in depth with me, since I probably know why you think the
way you do anyway. But, as I said, good luck in holding to your value system
and not having sex until you are married.
good day

I know Gale...Love her dearly! BUT... I have to argue a point or two!
First It IS her problem first and formost, then the government! And she
is not the government's problem, Dunthyon is. Whatever your lame brain
reason is, you don't fuck, get pregnant and blame everyone else for YOUR
mistake(or should i say problem, beautiful children are never a mistake.)
Mind you i say this as a 21 yr. old mother of two. I gave birth to
the cutest little girls that could possible exist. I know that being a
young mother is hard, I, too, am on welfare. Or should I say Work First
New Jersey. What ever it amounts to white trash stealing money from
taxpayers pockets, right? Whitman should never of changed the the age for
people on Welfare. She thought too far ahead! She should of had these
KIDS back in school so that later in life they could support they're own
kids properly. I know as a reasonable adult that kids are going to have
sex for whatever reason...in love, drunk, or just plain horny, but maybe
if more adults took as much blame as they dish out we wouldn't have to
have this arguement and I wouldn't have to read in the paper about
another young mother who killed their newborn child because they were
afraid of what they're parents would do!
Maybe its time to stop pointing fingers and look in the mirror. Time
to grow up, get a life and start solving our own problems instead of
looking toward retarted stupid republican scum! As for that wedgie... I'd
love to but I have two childern I need to play with!
