Pubes

For some reason, I’ve always had an issue with pubes. Not just pubes, but all body hair. I am not repulsed by body hair, just that it’s better if there were none from the neck down… to me that is. Hey, some folks are into the gorilla thing, and that’s cool, but it’s not for me.

I was 14 when I first shaved myself. No groans please, I did it entirely out of curiosity. Actually, I think most people have shaved themselves at least once out of curiosity, but will never admit to it. Anyway, a few days after my depilatory experiment, I was dreading it due to the rather bad itch. A few months later, I did it again, thinking that I must have been over reacting. I found out that I wasn’t.

Thru trial and error, I discovered that the reason for the itch was that the area had not been given the opportunity to get used to being bare. The trick was to trim things very short for like a week or so, then shave with the growth daily for another week or so (a shave which is not very close at all), then you can shave against the growth. The result is little to no irritation, but it’s a high maintenance hassle.

I just realized that many people out there could live another 1000 years without knowing any of that, especially coming from a fat crippled guy in New Jersey. Just remember that I wasn’t always crippled, and I wasn’t always fat. Actually, you look more defined when you’re shaved if you’re chiseled.

       And I’m not gay… not 100% anyway.

The entire “no pubes” deal seems to slide into the “pre-pubescent” thing, and I have been told that it’s a “little kid” fantasy. I think that is a theory developed by very small minds. When you look at it objectively, you see things differently. A grown woman has hips, breasts, and other curves that make me a bit lightheaded, and looks like a grown woman. A grown man is built… well… sort of mannish, and looks like a grown man. Body hair does not make them appear more or less grown at all. Children on the other hand are adults in the larva stage, although one of the first signs of puberty is usually body hair. If the thought of an adult without pubic hair makes you think of a child, you need to examine your psyche. If it excites you because it makes you think of a child, please seek therapy. And, of course, if you actively fuck children, just kill yourself.

Ones Self-image is a very different thing all together. We all have thoughts back to the time when we were young and how we looked from our perspective, and some of those thoughts may bring up feelings that we’re not comfortable with, be they reminders of physical insecurity and the battle with the onset of puberty, to possible sexual abuse. Whatever the reason, self-image is much more important then pubes… to me anyway. Like I said, I am not repulsed by body hair. I would much rather the woman I am with be comfortable with herself.

Pubes… If you’re thinking of getting rid of ‘em, even if it is just to see the difference, I say go for it! If you are worried that you may be teased… well, that may be a different issue, but try not to let it bother you. It grows back after all. And don’t believe the “grows back darker and thicker” nonsense. If you make everything blunt and the same length, it may look that way to you, but that’s because you aren’t used to it.

I hope you aren’t disappointed. After all, I didn’t get angry.
