    Preach the gospel, my brother!

You know what upset me the most about the high school shooting?  The body count was too low.  Now, people, let's try not to pop a vain, let me explain what I mean.  If after I explain you are still pissed off, well then, yer a fucking moron, and you deserve to have an aneurysm.

When I first saw the news report, estimates were as high as 25 dead, and they were pretty sure there were more.  When the number was revised to 15, I was kinda disappointed.  What a sick fucking thought, huh?  But ya know, a lot of people probably thought the same thing, but just wont admit it.  As long as we're not personally involved in a tragedy, we wanna hear about 'em, and the more shit blows up and the bigger the fire ball, the longer we are glued to CNN.

The reason this shit happens, as well as our insatiable appetites for this shit is because we live in the society we do.  That's not just a cliché, I want you to really think about it.  We have all this cool shit, the freedom to say or feel or think any way we want, and a place to do it in.  Hell, I play D&D.  I love the game DOOM.  I listen to NIN, and I even own a black trench coat.  I know how to make bombs, and I can get my hands on fire arms.  I like the fact that these things exist, and I like the fact that these things are there for me to like.

Let's get specific, shall we?  We'll talk about DOOM.  What is DOOM?  It's a video game where you are a guy with a shotgun roaming the halls of a complex, and any second a bad guy can jump out.  The object is to shoot him before he shoots you.  The graphics are really nasty, with blood, guts, and body parts flying about.  It's one of the most popular computer video games of it's time.

The game was made because there was a market for it.  Human beings in most societies have always and will always love violent shit.  The game didn't make people violent, people in our violent society made the game.

There hasn't been a murder in Amish society (In PA near Philadelphia) for nearly 350 years.  Why is that?  They can get guns just as easily as anyone can.  I am sure they can get a PC an play DOOM.  And, a bonus is that they already have black trench coats.  Why are they so peaceful?  It's a totally different society.  They get up at 4am to milk the cows, work the fields, and build a barn, all before lunch, which is sometime around mid day.  No one knows exactly, because no one wears a watch.

The point is that their society is different.  It doesn't revolve around money, fame, or entertainment.  They don't care about our shit, and they don't want to use our shit.  So, the solution is to rebuild our society and model it after the Amish.  No more violence, no more war.  No theft.  No worries.  Don't forget though, no cars.  No plains.  No D&D.  No computers...  and no DOOM.

Fifteen dead?  I'm not all that surprised.  It's horrible, but not surprising.  If you are surprised, yer a frigging retard, or yer just full of shit.  A few hundred dead may have surprised me, but not 15.  They must have really sucked at DOOM.

i'll keep this short.

the constitutional law(s) that allow us to own such wonderfully innovative products as semi-automatic pistols, etc., were brought into effect when such efficient killing devices were not yet thought of. back then, you had a single-shot musket that did NOT explode in your face if you were lucky. my point? none, really...just seeing if a crudely forged wrench thrown into this forum would perhaps invoke the rage of some otherwise amiable individual....

like patrick, i also play d&d, doom, enjoy NIN, know how to make a bomb, and even own a new black trenchcoat i bought in a resale shop in colorado (go figure) during a recent vacation. but, unlike the "trenchcoat mafia", i have no intentions of donning the aforementioned trenchcoat and killing anyone with any of the potentially destructive knowledge i possess- unless, of course, i someday find myself in a situation where i must do what i can to defend my life. i prefer to vent anger in such productive ways as grabbing a machete and making a trail in the woods, playing drums, or even in such unproductive ways as playing DOOM. gods forbid, sometimes i just use a little intellect, do a little soul-searching, get emotional (by the way, i think if more guys would let themselves cry they might not resort to homicide as an alternative) , and let go of those feelings of rage....i can vouch for what mr. Roskiewich says about verbally abusing a weapon...i have cursed my beloved machete many times, after several minor, unintentional, self-inflicted injuries during my trailblazing excursions. never once did it jump from my hand and engage in any sort of unacceptable behavior. in fact, it's just a really laid-back kind of machete. when i'm not holding it, it just sort of lays there, as benevolent as can be. i shit you not. anyway, it appears that i have taken myself on a tangent that i can't find my way back from, and perhaps made a fool of myself in the process.

i would like to thank patrick for allowing me the space to make a fool of myself in front of the entire population of the internet.

well, look at that- i just sort of rambled on and on there, didn't i? looks like my opening statement about keeping it short turned out to be nothing more than a terrible lie. so feel free to send hateful e-mail. call me a crying little pussy-boy. call me a mentally disrespectable pseudo-intellectual waste of flesh. call me cranially obtuse. call me a word-inventing, punctuationally incapable windbag. hell, shoot me.

all bullshit aside, i mean no disrespect to anyone. if i hurt yer feelings by some strange fluke of nature, i apologize. ok. i'm done.

       That was short?

Well I would like to send money but Im facing a possible layoff at work, may be time to break out my assult weapon. Thats a joke dont call out the FBI, hope it wasnt in poor taste. I agree, well done, like you said people just dont get it people make the choice to kill and can get really creative in doing it. It seems to me that a large majority of the people who are for banning guns and most that accidently shoot someone never owend a gun or were taught about them.No wonder kids who have never shot a gun under adult supervision have killed their friends because they dont yet know that yes when you pull the trigger there is a violent and destructive reaction. Take guns away and people will just resort to other more destructive ways as you mentioned they can simply make explosives out of househuold products that they learned to construct from the internet or any anarchist cookbook.I agree with some gun control but if given an opening others would have them banned all together. I wonder if gun control freaks understand that people who would shoot someone (other than self defense/loved ones, property etc..) are not going to give up their guns no matter what the legislation, and will allways be able to obtain them.

Signed Glad to be in Texas
